"A one-band music festival"--Ken Swiatek, WJJW Radio Sligo Rags - (The) Whiskey Never Lies (Indie) - Another great record from the local Irish scene, from the Long Beach/Orange Country favorites. Bluegrass, Classical and World Beat influences abound in addition to the Celtic ones, but best of all the original songs sit comfortably side-by-side with the traditional ones. Engagingly played and sung with humor and skill. What the folks who matter had to say about
The Night Before the Morning After...
Every song is a gem, ably complemented by arrangements that preserve the music's Celtic origins while playing with flavors of other genres, including bluegrass and country. Purists might cringe at such license, but believe me when I say it works. --Carol Elaine Cyr, The Irish News
Indeed the purpose of art is to tell universal truths and the beauty of this CD is that it does just that...This is one of the best CDs by a stateside band I've heard so far. We've been spinning the band's latest CD, "The Night Before the Morning After,' which ranges from rollicking reels to the sort of sad that only the Irish can deliver. Both sounds go well with a nice Harp or a not-so- nice Guinness. BUY THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MORNING AFTER NOW!
